:star: EDIT: Took a better picture this time. Also, I photoshoped it so the shadows would have a red hue instead of a blue one from the photo.

So this is an idea I've been thinking of for a very long time. I just recently decided to try and draw it.

:star:The story. Well, I guess there are many ways of interpreting this sketch. Obviously, the shadowy creature really likes the little girl holding the flower. I don't know whether the monster gave her the flower, or a real human did and now he's sad and a little heart broken.

Hmm, lets us ponder about this. **strokes non-existent beard thoughtfully** The girl looks sad and confused as well. Maybe she knew that the shadow thing loved her very much, so she feels bad when she shows him that someone else is giving her flowers.

That is just too cute!!! I love the monster, the eyes you gave him make him look so innocent. hmmm... critique.. maybe the background could be darker, make it sort of match the mood of the rest of the picture. :D other than that its fantastic. instant :+fav: :heart::heart:

Thank you. ^_^ Yeah...I don't know why I think of the things I do. ^^; All I can suggest is be very open minded and read lots of different kinds of books. And not that Harry Potter crap either. T_T

This strikes me as classic, both in concept and execution; the way you've correlated the creature's eyes with the rose, the lovely and sensitive rendering style, and the rhythms of dark and light-- it's just phenomenally beautiful.
